Akcent – My Passion

Adrian, Mihai and Sorin (Akcent) have recently released the official video for “My Passion” (featuring Lora, a new music talent), their latest track. The romanian boys worked very hard on this release; the video shows a classic love scenario, where two young lovers fight often until they end up separately.  “My Passion” is supposed to break european music charts once again for Akcent.

Akcent - That's My Name (Da Brozz Remix)

"Having already been popular in their motherland (Romania), in 2005 Akcent joined the world music field. This song is still well-remembered and delights spectators during the concerts.
Since fortunate 2005 radio listeners have been following Akcent constantly. The boy-band filled radio air with singles “Jokero”, “French kiss”, “Phonesex”, “King of disco”, “Let’s talk about it”… In 2008 Marius Nedelcu left the group to be a solo singer. Corneliu Ulici became a new member of the band, but after some months he made a choice to leave Akcent and build a career of an actor.
Adrian, Mihai and Sorin continued their work in a form of trio and after a small pause the new wave of fans, attention and love was brought to Akcent by their next hit “Stay with me”, which was also released in two other versions: “On and on” and “Lover’s cry” differing from each other in accordance with preferences of some countries. Adrian Sana - Hold On (Original Club Mix)

A burst of creativity and extravagance at the Liberty Parade

"The beach between resorts Venus and Saturn could barely contain the 50,000 young people who gathered on Saturday at the Liberty Parade, the biggest Romanian dance music event, according to Realitatea.net. The party kicked off around 16:00, in Olimp.
Hundreds of youngsters walked from there, accompanied by three trucks bearing DJs who mixed live up to the Liberty Parade arena on the beach between Saturn and Venus. The party people danced in the streets and some of them donned original costumes. By midnight, the arena was bursting with people. “It’s great, so cool. The greatest concert of 2010. It’s not my first time here. I come here every year,” one of the young people attending the event said.

“It’s OK, it’s awesome. There’s chaos, it’s very crowded, but it’s awesome. We’re doing great,” another said. The party spirit was kept alive by 20 top DJs, who mixed until daybreak. The Liberty Parade caravan, made up of three open trucks in which the DJs mixed live, passed through the seaside resorts.
The organizers also prepared a special Michael Jackson tribute. Michael Jackson’s figure, projected on the white screen, performed alongside dancers wearing light-fitted suits. This was followed by the three members who make up Above & Beyond, the most appreciated trio in trance music. Hotel owners in Southern seaside resorts took advantage of the number of tourists pouring in just for the weekend and raised their prices by RON 50. However, most of the youngsters rented rooms in villas, where the price for a night in a flat amounts to EUR 100." Article source: www.nineoclock.ro.

Akcent - How Deep Is Your Love (Hy2rogen & Fr3cky Remix)

"Based in 2001, AKCENT is one of the best bands Romania has ever had. Their debut album – In culori (In Bright Colors) went Gold and Platinum in a very short time from its release in January 2001 and their debut single Ti-am Promis (I Promised you) made history... Soon after that they released their international debut album “French Kiss with Kylie”, which included the hits “Kylie”, “JoKero” and “French Kiss” at the end of the summer of 2006. The album also included two ballads written by none other than Nicole Formescu, famous for the hits she wrote for BLUE. Nicole visited Romania once again after many years to meet the guys and record “I Swear” and “4 Seasons In One Day”.St Petersburg, Moscow and some  cities in the far away Siberia were one by one taken by storm by Akcent’s superhits late 2006, consequently the guys spending much time travelling around Russia and spending Christmas in beautiful Moscow. Akcent spent most of the 2007 summer in Poland with many gigs all over the country, meeting fans they used to talk on the internet. Besides Poland, Akcent were also touring again in Russia and Northern Europe. MTV Russia even followed the guys for more days in order to shoot an all-Akcent documentary which they broadcasted several times due to fans’ demand.

Akcent is also the Romanian band with the most watched videos on YouTube and most visited myspace page (more than 110.000 profile visitors), definetely a record for Romania once again. While touring the last months Adrian, Mihai and Sorin also found the time to write a few more songs for their upcoming album to be released at the end of this year, with a more clubbin’ sound which will keep the dancefloors crowded everywhere. Their new single STAY WITH ME was released in Romania and is still growing and jumping higher and higher through romanian charts. The big surprise is that it will be released in different versions for some countries." Full article available at http://www.akcentonline.com.
