Stromae Vs Dance All Stars – Alors On Danse (Djs From Mars HyperBootleg Remix)

“The Stromae sound, influenced by new wave beats that are mainly derived from Belgium, express a more subversive danceable version of their early 90’s Technotronic and underground House music. The new beat term refers to a new “beat” oriented sound, encompassed by combining electronic club music and techno with a flavour of 80’s Chicago House music.
Born Paul Van Haver, the beat making prodigy cradled in hip-hop and electro music, discovered his zeal for the drums and percussion as a child. Son of a Rwandan father and a Belgium mother, he practices from his home studio in Brussels, Belgium. Composer, songwriter, interpreter, he produces his own tracks which he later presents in an innovative manner.

Art never made style and style has never made the art. The latest face of the new beat generation is the internationally renowned artist known as Stromae, who is set to release his debut album “Cheese” in 2010. Lead by “Alors on Danse,” Stromae has become a massive music phenomenon. Against the conventions of baggy rags, the young maestro has no desire for the artifice of the hip-hop bling. Instead, this artist’s humble demeanor comes dressed in a bow tie, his reason being “simply being dressed for work like everyone else.” Ironically the loather of trends would soon become a trend of own. Always in the core of the movement, this distinguished artist is above all, his own creator.”

D Mand & Andy Tailor - Summer Love (DJs From Mars Remix)

Buying first set of DJ equipment

"Face it, we all want to be the ones who drop the tunes at parties. Most people think of becoming DJ's, but to become one, you must buy your first equipment to handle the big beat tunes. So here are a few steps:

  1. Have a good wad of cash, there is no true recommended amount of money to have because the money you will need depends on where and what you buy. Be wary anyway, DJ equipment is NOT cheap.
  2. Decide the basics ahead of time. Figure out if you first set is going to include turntables, single CD players, a dual CD player, an iPod system, a laptop system, or some type of combination. Also, give yourself an estimate on what size events you plan to DJ (will you plat at 25 person house parties or 25,000 person concert halls).
  3. Research equipment online. Find a retail store with the lowest prices and with the equipment right for a DJ.
  4. Before buying gear at any of the big stores like Guitar Center, confirm you are getting the best deal by checking out one of the smaller, big players that guarantee the lowest pricing on DJ equipment like http://www.kpodj.com or an independent local store.
  5. Here's what the basic DJ equipment is:

    • 2 Turntables and/or 2 mixable CD players or a laptop(see tips)
    • Headphones
    • Microphone
    • Stereo cables suitable for your equipment
    • Finally a DJ Mixer connected to:
    • an amp and two or more passive speakers/two or more active speakers (amp built in).

TIPS:
  • Digital DJing (using a laptop) may be cheaper, since songs can be downloaded individually at a reduced cost. It is best if your laptop has a lot of memory or you buy a large external HDD. You might also want a decent program and an extra audio socket depending on your equipment's needs and abilities.
  • A good starter mixer is the Behringer BCD2000/BCD3000 because it has a USB connection to the computer - no extra audio connections needed - and comes with a decent piece of software.
  • You can hook up your mixer to your home stereo or a boom box if you don't have actual professional DJing speakers.
  • Always buy direct drive turntables with a start/stop button and pitch control. Also make sure that the CD players you get have at least a pitch control and cue function.
  • Learn to work the equipment before operating. This means reading the manual, asking the seller questions and noting what sort of a volume everything needs to be at.
  • If you're lucky enough to know an experienced DJ, ask them what equipment (and brands of equipment) they recommend. If they're willing to show you good techniques for using it, that's even better. You might even be able to buy their old equipment cheaply off them or borrow some to gain experience.
  • Purchase amplifiers that can produce 1.5 times the recommended RMS wattage for your speaker.
  • Check into buying from a retailer that allows you to use an item, and if not satisfied, return it. Most electronic products, once opened are not returnable.
  • Look into renting a system before you buy one on a permanent basis.
  • Check out your local record and CD exchanges to help get you started with a lot of popular music." Article source: www.wikihow.com.

Ciara & Justin Timberlake - Love, Sex, Magic (DJs From Mars Remix)

"“My ultimate goal is to be one of the best female entertainers ever, like those I watched growing up,” says Ciara with a glowing confidence. “You have to always be ahead of what you do and reach ahead and push yourself forward to be better.”
Her highly anticipated third album, Fantasy Ride is a testament to her growth. As evidenced in the sensual videos for the Polow Da Don-crafted hit, first single, “Never Ever” (with Young Jeezy) and the second smash single, “Love Sex Magic,” with Justin Timberlake (who also co-produced the track), she is boldly demonstrating her womanhood and sexuality without apology. “I am taking my fans on a virtual fantasy ride through music and my life. I have changed since my last album, but it’s essentially the same Ciara, but with added elements and spice,” she says of the new album, most of which she co-wrote and co-executive-produced. “Look at the first two singles. They both are extensions of who I am and yet so different. ‘Never Ever’ is very warm and ‘Love Sex Magic’ is aggressive. Both are sides of me and there is so much more to share. It’s all a part of the Fantasy Ride.” Boasting an impressive array of hit makers— including label-mate Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo, Missy Elliot, Danja, Dr. Luke, Tricky Stewart and The Dream—Fantasy Ride mixes Ciara’s trademark R&B and hip-hop thunder with a seducing dash of clever pop.
From the alluring “Ciara To The Stage,” a love letter to her fans, to “Tell Me What Your Name Is” a hard-hitting song with with electro-snaps against a grand orchestral backdrop produced by Dr. Luke (Britney Spears, P!nk)— Ciara covers a broad spectrum of genres and attitudes on Fantasy Ride. All genres including opera: “High Price,” finds Ciara releasing operatic-like verses over a hard-edged rhythm. The song also reunites Ciara with Ludacris, the duo first collaborated on her first album with the #1 hit “Oh.”  Her swagger is infinite on “Like a Surgeon,” a high-powered, ‘90s R&B-flavored single also produced by Stewart and The Dream. “‘Like A Surgeon’ is pure attitude,” she says with a smile.
Justin Timberlake co-produced “G is For Girl (A-Z)” and once again their combination is blistering. “I found out that Justin wanted to work with me just as much as I wanted to work with him,” says Ciara. “He is so talented and humble.” “Pucker Up” is a prickly party jam that finds Ciara taking the reins (“Everybody riding shotgun/ Scared to play the drivers seat/ Got the pedal to the metal/Going super light-speed/ I am far too gone”) and the Missy Elliot assisted, dance-floor, fire-starter “Work!” will cause commotion from house parties to house balls. “Lover’s Thing,” a silky duet with The Dream, switches gears with its new millennial Atlantic Starr vibe. “Keep Dancing on Me” (produced by Tricky Stewart and The Dream) is a late summer confection and has all of the makings of a classic with its romantic, laidback swing. “I Don’t Remember” (co-written with Ne-Yo) is a techno-lite “morning after” blur.
Ciara Princess Harris is an Austin, Texas-born self-described army brat who lived in Germany and California before settling in Atlanta, Georgia. The ambitious, self-starter scored a publishing deal when she was barely out of high-school. After a brief stint in a girl group, she ventured out on her own and teamed with noted producers Jazze Pha and Lil Jon, resulting in the # 1 hit, “Goodies” and the 3.5 million-selling worldwide debut effort of the same name. The album also produced two other #1 singles, “1,2 Step” with Missy Elliot and “Oh” with Ludacris. Other successful collaborations include the Top 5 hits “Lose Control” with Elliot (from her album The Cookbook) — for which the two won a Grammy for “Best Short Form Video”— and “Like You” with Bow Wow (from his album Wanted). She also enjoyed a Top 10 hit with “So What” with southern hip-hop duo Field Mob. Her sophomore effort, Ciara: The Evolution, which sold 1.7 million albums worldwide, continued the hit parade yielding the #1 single, “Promise” and the Top 10 smashes, “Like A Boy” and “Can’t Leave 'Em Alone” with 50 Cent. In addition to winning a Grammy in 2006, she’s received three other Grammy nominations so far and has won a litany of awards, including a World Music Award for “Best Selling Female R&B Artist”, two MTV Video Music Awards, two BET Awards, a Soul Train “Entertainer of the Year Award,” a VIBE award and five esteemed ASCAP Songwriting Awards. She has toured with superstar Gwen Stefani and is slated to tour this summer with label-mate Britney Spears on the pop superstar’s Circus Tour in Europe.
Infused with the ambition and drive she has possessed since she was a child, Ciara is also a burgeoning entrepreneur. Recently, she established a talent agency, UDT (Universal Dance Talent), which books jobs and establishes careers for up and coming dancers. “The ultimate goal is to have a dance school with a studio. The coolest thing is giving people an opportunity,” she states. “Some of the dancers taught me things in high school and now I have brought them along with me.”
Fantasy Ride’s packaging unfolds into a comic book, designed by Marvel Comics artist Bernard Chang and it introduces the world to Ciara’s stronger side she refers to as, “Super C.” “She represents the inner strength and drive that helps me overcome obstacles. My entire life I have had people tell me that I cannot be something and it has not been easy. The Super C in me turns the negative into a positive. This side of me helps me do that and persevere,” she explains.
“Whether it’s dealing with business, my creativity or my personal life, I have to be strong. When you fight and have faith that’s the superhero in you. Super C makes me stronger, enables me to walk with faith and be fearless. She is not an alter-ego, she is who I am,” the singer explains. “Superheroes don’t have to do extraordinary things. I feel like there is a super hero in all of us.”
Ciara is ready for the world to join her on her journey. “Goodies was the crawl. Ciara: The Evolution was the walk. Now, I am running,” she says. “Fantasy Ride delves deeper and shows a lot more of me. I am here to make it clear about what I do. Everything now is high-powered and intense. I am going full force.”" Article source: www.ciaraworld.com.

Keri Hilson & Timbaland - Return The Favor (DJs From Mars Bootleg Remix)

"Have you seen that gorgeous model-looking chick that’s got Usher sprung in the video for ”Love In This Club?” Turns out, she’s a recording artist in her own right. Keri Hilson is about to be huge. And she's one of those rare people who deserve to be. For Keri, music was a childhood friend she kept throughout adulthood. "In school, I would get in trouble for singing all the time. I unknowingly hummed every chance I got. It got so bad my friend's nicknamed me 'Keri-okey'". She wears that name proudly on her sleeve, and in credits for every major hit she writes. Destined for stardom since day one, the Atlanta native's determined spirit first materialized all before she'd turn a teenager. While performing in school plays and winning talent shows all around Atlanta, she taught herself how to write songs at twelve. Impressed with Keri's vocal ability, her piano-turned-voice teacher ushered her into a studio session where she learned the nuances of recording music. "That was when I really knew that I could take music seriously," she says. “But at the time, I didn’t know if there was such a job as production or songwriting.” “I come across a lot of people who are opportunists and they’re like, ‘If it happens, it happens.’ I’m not one of those. I’m a go getter.” True to her words, by 18 she was arranging songs, cutting vocals and engineering sessions. While on her journey to making a name for herself as one of the strongest songwriters out there, Keri eventually ran into producer Polow da Don working in recording studios all over their hometown Atlanta. One afternoon, he asked her the pivotal question—"'What producer do you think would get you where you want to be as an artist? Who would musically inspire you the most?' I said, 'Timbaland- hands down!'" Little did she know, Polow had already been talking to the Virginia Beach producer about her potential. Polow called her one morning with the news that Tim wanted to meet her. Keri was elated. "I wasn't freaking out," she recalls of that morning, "I was prepared. While I had taken all this time to hone my craft as a songwriter, I always believed that I would eventually get to be an artist. Everything I experienced, everything I felt growing up, all the work…I was just like, 'Ok. Wow. This must be it. It must be happening.'"

It was definitely happening. As soon as Keri and Timbaland met there was chemistry. “A lot of nights we would just listen to other people's music and critique it. Not for the sake of study but to listen to it and discuss it. We don't agree all the time. Definitely not. But I think that's what happens when you get two strong creative minds in the same room." Even better things happen when you get three strong, creative people in the same room. September 2008 will see the release of Keri Hilson's first album, “In A Perfect World…” It is being issued as a joint release from Mosley Music Group (Tim's label) and Zone 4 (Polow's label) as an imprint of Interscope Records (Jimmy Iovine's label). The album is about relationships, it's emotive, human, gorgeously and deliberately imperfect. "No human is exempt from the realities of life—heartbreak, love, failure, success—I want my album to convey a sense of reality. That's the standpoint that lent itself to the title. There will always be something you’d change if only you lived ‘In A Perfect World…’ and I’m no different.”The highly anticipated debut features her indomitable songwriting skills, the genre-obliterating production of Polow da Don and Timbaland, and Keri Hilson's undeniably incredible voice. "I deliver my songs with emotion," she enthuses, "I don't like a lot of effects. It takes away from the emotion. Like the raspyness of my voice in 'Slow Dance' (written with Justin Timberlake) for example. I love the way I sound on that track—straightforward, throwback, and old school. I don't want that feeling taken away. I'm so particular about those emotions. I don't want anyone to walk away from my album just thinking, 'that sounds nice.' Anybody can do that. I’m much more concerned that they walk away thinking, 'that felt great.'"For her humility, the album is as dizzyingly good as it should be. It's a watershed moment that meets both goals—it sounds and feels great. The songs are unconventional. It's universally appealing in its pop offerings (infectious hooks are plenty) but the arrangements are challenging in how many layers there are to listen to. Heavy synth-laden basslines to the classical guitar in the tensely urgent Polow-produced "Ready to Fall," Keri anchors it all with a pitch-perfect voice that is refreshing in its versatility. From the sweeping cinematic orchestration of Timbaland's "Mic Check" ("I loved harnessing all that aggression in my voice.") to the speedy cascading electro bassline of "Return the Favor." The mutual trust between artist and producers allows them to take bold risks. Keri shouts out all the “fly girls” on her song “Get It Girl”. “A ‘Get It Girl’ is focused on getting everything she wants out of life. She is strong, independent, determined, loves to have fun, always stays fresh - and no matter what, accepts no limitations.”“In A Perfect World…” represents a world where music is music and you can’t put it in a box. It’s a catalyst for Keri to defy categorization, “I want to be a point of reference” states Hilson. “Hip-hop has become pop; pop is hip-hop. Music is definitely changing. I want to be the crux of that. I want to be a reason, not a result.” " Article source: www.kerihilson.com.

The Killers - Human (DJs From Mars Remix)

"The Killers are a rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, formed in 2002 and consist of Brandon Flowers (vocals, keyboards), Dave Keuning (guitar, backing vocals), Mark Stoermer (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion). The band’s three albums to date have sold in excess of 15 million copies worldwide combined. The band got its name from the fictional band “The Killers” in the video for New Order’s “Crystal.” The band is currently on hiatus. Initially, The Killers played at large clubs in Las Vegas. With the band’s line-up stable and their repertoire of songs expanding, the band began to attract attention from talent bookers, local agents, major label, scouts — and a UK representative for Warner Bros. Though the Warner Bros representative passed on the band, he took the demo back with him, showing it to a friend who worked at UK (London-based) indie label Lizard King Records (now Marrakesh Records). The Killers then signed in the summer of 2002 to a British label.
They released their debut album “Hot Fuss” on June 2004 in the United Kingdom and US (on Island Records). Their first single was “Somebody Told Me”. The band also had chart success with their singles “Mr. Brightside,” which reached the Top 10 in the UK when released, and “All These Things That I’ve Done”. The band started recording its second album, “Sam’s Town” on February 15, 2006, at The Palms Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas. It was released on October 2006. Lead singer, Brandon Flowers said that Sam’s Town is “one of the best albums of the past 20 years”." Article source: www.last.fm

Kanye West - Love Lockdown (DJs From Mars Remix)

"Djs From Mars are two deejays (Aqualuce and Ventafunk) landed for random causes, in the same time, in the same place, in BlissCo. Studios, on planet Earth. Their first sonic experiment is generated in 2004, and goes by the name of “Non dormo più” (Movimental), Earth reaction is nice (the single appears in 5 compilations and goes straight to the highest charts positions). Right after, “Open Sesame” and “Kipo Mambo” (Movimental, 2005) are released, and the alien djs are playlisted outside of Italy too. After a break for personal reasons, they come back with “The Motherfucker” (Green Park, 2007), it’s digital age, the track has an international flavor that brings Djs From Mars in the charts of several online stores on the planet. The next episode is “Who gives a fuck about deejays” (The Dominion, 2008), that takes them to be appreciated by some top house djs in Europe, and brings some remixes requests by in France (Armand de France – I Say Ride on – FalcoMusic, 2008) and in Germany (Alex Megane – Hurricane 2008 – Yawa Rec.). The following step is the remake of an old dance track by theirselves, called “Dirty Mary”, that is airplayed by lots of top dance radios in Italy and Europe….in the meantime, the djs start a remix collaboration with the Brazilian dj and label owner Diovanni, (Don’t stop the music – TronicB7, 2008). They also join their label mates Freakadelika, with the remix of “I don’t like it” (GreenPark, 2008), and dB Pure, that has his tracks “All night long” and “Falling Down” (Green Park, 2008) remixed by the martians, with big feedbacks from top djs in the Mediterranean area.
Djs From Mars continue working without pauses, “Saturday night on the moon” (The Dominion, 2008) is a the next song, featured in compilations in Germany and Italy, and airplayed in lots of radios and clubs in Eastern Europe. In the meantime they give birth to the side project “Sashimi Planet”, which incorporates the melodic and pop soul of the duo. The first single is called “lonely Satellite” and there is an upcoming release called “Shelter”. 2009 starts with a progressive mood for the aliens: their new single is called “Suono e Immagine” (The Dominion, 2009) and it is a space travel that will thake them into the new years. After just a couple of weeks they start working with dB Pure to a new single: “Revolution Radio”, after a short time it’s already licensed on a big compilation in Germany. The years goes on with big news: they go pop while they produce the main mix of “Diventa come un fiore” by Dari, an Italian band that is climbing every kind of tv and radio chart, while Phunk Investigation’s owned label “Absolutely Records” ask for a remix on their track “Show me the way” with vocals by Sharon May Linn. They also have remix requests from Canada’s label “Peak Hour Music”, they work on a track by dj Jake Chec from Executive Mix, the song is “breathe”. They also have a strong release with the club hymn from their label BlissCorporation: “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” is out on 2009 May, with mixes by Djs From Mars and Gabry Ponte (originally in the Eiffel 65 lineup). In the meantime they produce several bootlegs for their gigs, and some of them join the interest of All Music (the second music network in Italy after MTV) that starts broadcasting their works into the dance playlists. At the same time they start working with Starshit Rec.: they put their hands on Rico Bernasconi’s “Love Deep Inside”, and they are about to release “Don’t Give up”, a remake of the massive 90’s club hit by Chicane and Bryan Adams. And they’re still at work…." Article source: Djs From Mars on Facebook.
