Cosmic Gate & Emma Hewitt - Not Enough Time (Andy Duguid Remix)

"Over 10 boundary-pushing years, Nic Chagall and Bossi have evolved Cosmic Gate into one of the most creative and highly-sought-after electronic music acts in the world. Revered uber-producers, their musical acumen has seen them become long-term favourites of the trance's Big 5 DJs with their 4 hugely-received albums transporting anthems like 'Body of Conflict', ,Not Enough Time', 'I Feel Wonderful', ,F.A.V.', 'Analog Feel', or the classics 'Exploration of Space' and Fire Wire to the dancefloor. As DJs, their kinetic, blood-pumping live performances are seen by hundreds of thousands of club and festival goers annually. Playing a 100 nights every year, it's this ever-visible club presence that saw them reach their highest position to-date on the DJ Mag Top 100, landing as highest climbers at No.19 in 2009.
Following a chance meeting at a label office in Cologne in late 1998, the pair collaborated for the first time. It's a production partnership that has become one of the dance world's most successful and memorable. In their homeland of Germany, they've maintained a consistent level of chart success, with no fewer than 7 Top 40 singles to their name and a Top 10 hit in the UK in 2001, with the quintessential club hit, Fire Wire. Drawing on a broad-range of their individual musical tastes and influences, they've continued to advance and enhance the sound... Following up the long-players 'Rythm & Drums' and 'No More Sleep', in 2006 they released 'Earth Mover', which saw a seismic shift towards a more melodic and electronically orientated music. Including the club hits 'Analog Feel', 'Should Have Known' and 'I Feel Wonderful', the long-player was IDMA nominated for Best Album of 2007 and was latterly seen as a new 'year one' for Cosmic Gate.
In 2009 Nic and Bossi released their fourth studio album 'Sign of the Times', which contains 11 floor-monsters, last year's vocal anthem 'Body of Conflict' and the smash single 'Not Enough Time', which in the words of Tiësto is "a great and solid vocal trancer that touches all your musical senses!" And in the broader scale on 'Sign of the Times' Armin van Buuren says "The new Cosmic Gate album is one of the most anticipated releases of this year. They are on the forefront of the dance music sound of the moment... Bring on 2009!"
Deck-side Nic and Bossi have whipped floors into frenzies all the way around the world. In 2009 they played the ,How Sweet It Is' and ,Electronic Daisy Carnival' in LA, rocked roofs at the Judgement Sunday nights and decisively broke into the US and Australian clubbing scenes through a string of sell-out tours, like the ,Sign Of The Times' Album Tour with 14 shows in a row in North America and the Godskitchen Tour through Australia in the amazing ,Boombox'. They appeared in the DJ Magazine's list of Top 100 spinners for 7 years now and are regular festival attraction, spinning at events like Trance Energy and Mysteryland in The Netherlands, Summadayze in Australia, Germany's Nature One and Stateside at Nocturnal.
Back2Back, Cosmic Gate's on-going compilation series was devised as the at-home testament to the pair's club-rocking exploits. In 2010 Cosmic Gate are set to release the 4th volume through Tiësto's Black Hole label. The compilations bring the evocative mix of trance, progressive and electro and stands apart through their use of numerous at-the-time unreleased productions and unique Cosmic Gate edits.
Over their production lifetime, the Cosmic Gate remixes have become almost as fêted as their productions. Essentially a blow by blow of trance music's A-list, Nic and Bossi lent their studio know-how to productions by the likes of Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond's OceanLab project, Paul Van Dyk, Deadmau5, Rank 1 and Blank & Jones. Most recently they rewired John O'Callagan's 'Find Yourself' to devastating effect, put their hands on Armin van Buurens ,Rain' and created two highly-praised remixes of 'Vincent De Moor - Fly Away' and 'Veracocha - Carte Blanche'."Article source: www.cosmicgate-music.de.

Journey - Don't Stop Believin' (DJ Dark Intensity Remix)

"In 2008, Journey introduced a new singer to the world, Arnel Pineda, with the release of their 14th studio album ("Revelation") and an extraordinarily successful world tour. It was the latest chapter in a rock and roll saga that started more than 35 years ago and has produced some of the best-known rock songs of the 1970's and 80's.
Journey's story begins in Northern California with guitarist Neal Schon, a child prodigy who dropped out of high school to join Santana just prior to the San Francisco band recording its third album. Schon, while in high school, had been jamming with Santana keyboardist Gregg Rolie, who ultimately would follow Schon into Journey.
The union of Santana and Schon was short-lived, but in that time period, Schon would meet a man who believed that a band formed around his guitar work would be a viable entity. When Schon left Santana, he explored the idea of a power trio with two former members of Sly and the Family Stone, drummer Greg Errico and bassist Larry Graham. Playing funk, however, limited Schon's amount of soloing, which prompted him to look for another musical vehicle. Walter "Herbie" Herbert, a guitar tech for Santana who had added management duties to his job, approached Schon in early 1973 about forming a guitar-centric band. Herbert has said Schon was, quote, 'the quintessential guitar expressionist of the time', and to further his career, Herbert connected Schon with two members of the popular local act Frumious Bandersnatch, former Steve Miller Band bassist Ross Valory and guitarist George Tickner. They enlisted drummer Prairie Prince, a member of the Tubes, and the all-instrumental act began performing as the Golden Gate Rhythm Section.
They developed a local following, one that was strong enough for San Francisco FM station KSAN to hold a contest to see if a better name could be given to the GGRS. The contest yielded the moniker Journey. New name in place, Rolie joined the band in the summer of 1973. The first edition of Journey developed a largely instrumental progressive rock sound. The first change in personnel came in early 1974 when Aynsley Dunbar, a British drummer who spent time in the bands of Jeff Beck, Frank Zappa and John Mayall, took the place of Prince, who decided to stay with the Tubes.
CBS/Columbia Records signed that lineup in November 1974, but by the time "Journey," their debut album, was released, Tickner had left to attend medical school. Tickner, whose compositions were the backbone of Journey's earliest repertoire, was not replaced, making the band a single-guitar outfit.
The group disbanded in 1989, seemingly for good, as Schon and Cain created Bad English with John Waite while Valory, Smith and Rolie joined the Storm. In 1993, the band reunited, sans Perry, for a Bay Area concert honoring their former manager Herbert. Perry, Schon, Cain, Smith and Valory reunited one last time for 1996's Trial By Fire. The dozen songs on the album were written in just two weeks. It opened at No. 3, yielded the Adult Contemporary hit single "When You Love a Woman," which would garner the band their first Grammy nomination, and a 25-date tour was booked. Perry moved to Hawaii to get in shape, but while there he developed health problems and was eventually told he would need a hip replaced. The tour never took place and with no fanfare, the members of Journey went their separate ways.
Ultimately, Schon, Valory and Cain decided the band would forge ahead. Steve Augeri was brought in as lead singer and Dean Castronovo, a member of Bad English, replaced Smith on drums. (Steve Smith opted to continue with his solo career as a recording artist and band leader, forming the band Vital Information). Their first recording as Journey was Remember Me for the Armageddon soundtrack. Arrival, Journey's 11th studio album, was released in April 2001.
A 30th anniversary tour followed the release of Generations in 2005. The tour featured shows that were more than three hours long and included material from every phase of the bands career. A year later, Jeff Scott Soto replaced Augeri, whose time in the band was cut short due to a throat infection. Sotos tenure was short-lived and in 2007, Journey tried a variety of ways to land a new singer. After two days of watching videos on YouTube, Schon came across a video featuring Arnel Pineda performing with a Filipino cover band in the Philippines and had his management book him for an audition in the States. Within just a few songs he had secured the job. Pineda made his debut with the album Revelation, which was sold exclusively at Wal-Mart outlets and was certified platinum within several months of its release. More than 700,000 fans saw Journeys 2008 tour with Pineda as lead singer. After seven months on the road with Journey, Pineda told the media in Asia, quote, This is the best job in the world and as long as my band mates will let me rock with them, I will keep singing with Journey." Lexter - Virtual Lies (Sunrise Inc. Remix)

"Lexter spent the first few years of his life in Oxford. His parents returned to his fathers’ place of birth St. Vincent, when they returned to England . Lexter grew up in a place called New Marston, Oxford . Where he learnt to play the guitar and was quite an accomplished dancer. If it were not for an accident on a half built housing estate Lester would probably be still dancing. As an adolescent Lester impersonated Michael Jackson not only with his looks but also his dance styles and vocals, the impersonations were that good audiences believed they were actually watching Michael himself. Lexter spent a few years in Cork , Ireland working/Managing a place called Tin Pan Louie’s. Lester has always sung however I believe it became more prominent whilst he was in Ireland somewhere © 1986. Singing UB40 tunes and old reggae. Lexter went to Barcelona in 1990 finding his way but moved permanently in 1992 as an entrepreneur. Then Lexter spent 5 years performing at the Golden Rock Café where formed 2 groups 1st. 4-2-1 who sung others music and secondly La Huella who played live gigs around Barcelona. Lexter then formed the successful Blue 4 U reaching the very known hits: “Livin in Jam” this went to number 3 in the Spanish charts or “Happy World” that went to number 1. Lexter released the following solo projects before his first solo album; “It’s Not Unusual”, “Sweet Sensation”, “We Can Share It”, “See The trouble” and “Always On My Mind”. His own album “Unbroken” also produced some hits such as “Jump, Jump!” or “Ain’t No Love”.
Nowadays Lex is trying a new style of music that involves three different styles (pop, dance & reggae). You can appreciate it in his hit single “Freedom to Love”.“Freedom to Love” has been a great international success. The single was licensed in more than 20 countries from Japan to U.S.A.The Best Song of the Year 2008” in Romania by the prestigious Music Control. Also “Freedom To Love” was the chosen music by Sony Ericsson Mexico 09 campaign. And like Lexter has us accustomed to the good songs, in October 2008 was edited “Peace & Love”. The new single follows the stela left for “Freedom to Love”. In a few days the videoclip is available and Lex will begin the international promotion of “Peace & Love”. Nowadays Lexter is at the studio recording and finishing the new album that will see the light in September 2009. Fourteen great songs, including the singles “Freedom to Love” and “Peace & Love” and where Lexter will show us his wide musical universe and influences. And we hope the songs can get into the heart, body and soul of the fans. This album will demonstrate and confirm that Lexter is an international super artist and composer, even where he’s not known. Lexter always has been considered an “animal of stage”. Is exactly there and with his fans where Lex feels really happy. He does not conceive singing if it’s not on live voice and he would be performing hours and hours. His domain and vocal power, feeling, passion and connection with the fans, makes Lexter performances an unforgettable moment. As happened in his last performances in Russia, Spain, Brazil, Romania, Bulgaria, Lebanon, Ukraine, Syria, Malta, Belarus etc." Article source: Lexter on MySpace.
