Stromae Vs Dance All Stars – Alors On Danse (Djs From Mars HyperBootleg Remix)

“The Stromae sound, influenced by new wave beats that are mainly derived from Belgium, express a more subversive danceable version of their early 90’s Technotronic and underground House music. The new beat term refers to a new “beat” oriented sound, encompassed by combining electronic club music and techno with a flavour of 80’s Chicago House music.
Born Paul Van Haver, the beat making prodigy cradled in hip-hop and electro music, discovered his zeal for the drums and percussion as a child. Son of a Rwandan father and a Belgium mother, he practices from his home studio in Brussels, Belgium. Composer, songwriter, interpreter, he produces his own tracks which he later presents in an innovative manner.

Art never made style and style has never made the art. The latest face of the new beat generation is the internationally renowned artist known as Stromae, who is set to release his debut album “Cheese” in 2010. Lead by “Alors on Danse,” Stromae has become a massive music phenomenon. Against the conventions of baggy rags, the young maestro has no desire for the artifice of the hip-hop bling. Instead, this artist’s humble demeanor comes dressed in a bow tie, his reason being “simply being dressed for work like everyone else.” Ironically the loather of trends would soon become a trend of own. Always in the core of the movement, this distinguished artist is above all, his own creator.”

Stromae - Alors On Danse (Sean Finn Remix)

"Stromae is a musical mutt based out of Brussels and hit the world - hard - with 2009's "Alors On Danse". The track hit number 1 in many countries. Basically everywhere it's charted, it's hit the top. It is the type of electronic record, like Yelle's "Je Veux Te Voir", that crosses language barriers. In it's original form, "Alors On Danse" is a pulsing groove track with a subtle melody and rampant horn sounds (horn sounds, like cheese food, may not be entirely authentic) that is the stuff of instant classics. Enter DJs From Mars, an Italian dance duo who's mixes hit hard, but who's mashups hit harder. They paired up - with scorching results - Lady Gaga & Coldplay, Lady Gaga & Metallica, Snoop Dogg & Snap!, Timbaland & Nirvana (just to name a few) and went outside the box to incorporate sizzling electro that sometimes mimicked the songs used as samples.

"Alors On Danse" may have been an easy target due to Stromae's monotone delivery, but DJs From Mars still didn't take the easy route and pair it with some easy-to-recognize tune. They paired it with nearly EVERY easy-to-recognize tune. Samples include: Kraftwerk, Benny Benassi, Underworld, Snap!, Felix Da Housecat, Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock, Bloody Beetroots, Robin S, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, and more. Stromae's monotone delivery becomes the only constant between the turbulent musical atmosphere of this mashup, and it is hot to see how well it all ties together. While DJs From Mars may be relatively under the radar right now, this may be their launch. And then we dance." Article source: www.dancemusic.about.com.
