The music may have changed a little since disco clubs first burst on the scene in the 1970s, but the disco lighting and lounge decor has changed dramatically. No more do you have to rely on a mirrored ball to reflect light from the ceiling - you can have an LED pixel ceiling that is controlled by lighting control software.

The dance floor no longer has to have recessed lighting or strobe lights in order to come alive when you get a video dance floor. The video dance floor is an LED dance floor that will move in time with the music. And the wall lighting can also be controlled with lighting control software when you use an LED equalizer panel, LED space panel or LED disco pane bubble panel.

The DJ stage lighting has also changed and moved with the times. Nightclubs that are built today are much lighter and brighter than the dark clubs of yesterday. "Luigino Celestino Di Agostino (born 17 December 1967),  is an originator of Mediterranean Progressive & Lento Violento music. Born in Turin, Italy, Gigi D’Agostino spent his childhood between his native city and Brescia, where the Media Records studios are located. As a child, Gigi D’Agostino wanted to be someone in the world of disco music. Starting out working as a stonemason and a fitter, he began his musical career as a DJ by organizing parties in clubs. His debut was in a club near Turin called “Woodstock”. He was a resident DJ of an Italian disco named Ultimo Impero from 1993 to 1998. As a DJ, D’Agostino is known as one of the “pioneers of Mediterranean Progressive Dance”, consisting of minimalistic sounds, Latin melodies and Mediterranean melodies. As a record producer, D’Agostino’s uses the pseudonym “Gigi Dag”; he transforms a piece, originally destined for the discos, into a success for the mainstream public.
